Justin Jordan
Art Director
What got you into this business in the first place? The Love for the art, the Perfection of computers, the Satisfaction of problem-solving, the Compulsion to Create.
Who was a big influence in your career? My art-teaching father desired to be a Graphic Artist when he was younger. He laid a foundation of art culture and visual problem-solving that coupled my innate ability to understand technology. Hats off to Willie Jordan!
What was "your finest moment," the thing you're most proud of? I’m most proud that God gave me the love of my life, Charity, with whom I can share a short forever.
What was your most embarrassing moment in business? I once argued with Bob about a date, and used a VP’s name in my defense, saying he had approved...and he did, but it was something else entirely. I got the two approvals mixed up and threw one of them “under the bus”, in a staff meeting.
Is there a great client story you'd care to share? All of them are great, of course.
What attracted you to IMAGES? The people. The people. The people. HR knows how to pick’em.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients? I make myself a consumer, and inherit their likes and dislikes of my clients’ product/service, and then imagine what I would like to hear/see that would compel to give that product/service one more try...
What makes a great brand? Good quality, but even better marketing, messaging, and visual identity that is beaten over the heads of consumers everywhere.
What driving career goals do you still have? I want to be a recording artist, own several other businesses, and retire to minister full-time.
What talent do you wish you had? I wish I could spin on my head (literally, breakdancing) and sing.
If you had to live on a desert island, what would you miss most? My wife. And if she could come, then...my family. If they could come, then...music!
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively? Biscoff cookies. Twizzlers (but I overdosed and have since then taken a sebatical). Water. And more water.
What's your favorite sports team? The underdog. In any case. Unless the Colts or Pacers are favored.
What frustrates you the most? Incompetence. Entitlement. Laziness. Liars.
Tell us about your pets? A bunch of nieces, nephews and god children.
What was growing up like for you? Imagine “The Wonder Years” + “The Cosby Show”.
What's your favorite TV program? And your least favorite? I don’t watch TV, but my wife has gotten me hooked on the first season of Grey’s Anatomy. And it’s currently on Season 4, I think?
What do you do for a good time...when you're not working? I write music, watch movies, make up comedy sketches with my wife, go to church! go dancing (occasionally), and work for free (design for my friends).
What was college like for you? Four years of...high school, except away from my parents.
What are your favorite internet sites? ff0000.com, ferryhalim.com/orisinal/. I can’t reveal any more of my secrets.
