What got you into this business in the first place? I love marketing! I love problem solving! I love putting the puzzle pieces together that are the foundation for building strategies. After 20 years in brand management working with agencies, I felt that my brand experience would add value to helping build an agency.
Who was a big influence in your career? My parents have always had great expectations for me.
What was "your finest moment," the thing you're most proud of? Watching my oldest daughter, Amanda, walk across the stage to get her diploma from Dartmouth. Not only was it an accomplishment for her degree represents our family’s 3rd generation at Dartmouth.
What was your most embarrassing moment in business? Fortunately or unfortunately I don’t really get embarrassed.
Is there a great client story you'd care to share? Nope. I love all of our clients. Choosing one story would be like making Sophie’s choice.
What attracted you to IMAGES? Bob and John and the potential I saw for the growth of the business.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients? Get the data, understand the insights, then pray for the wisdom to think up something profound
What makes a great brand? Relevant and tangible uniqueness, consistent and compelling messaging and strong distribution/accessibility
What driving career goals do you still have? Working with people I love and respect toward mutually beneficial success
What talent do you wish you had? Racing Cars
If you had to live on a desert island, what would you miss most? Shoe Shopping, 8 pump Venti Non-fat, Extra Hot Chai Latte (only at Starbucks), Strawberry Haagen-Daz with Hershey’s syrup, Hershey Bars with Almonds
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively? Chocolate
What's your favorite sports team? Don’t watch sports, how about Alvin Ailey or Dance Theater of Harlem?
What frustrates you the most? I have absolutely no patience for stupidity
Tell us about your pets? Mackenzie Ali Fairley-Brown is my 12 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Grace James Brown is my year old Yorkshire Terrier. Their unconditional love makes my day. They follow me like a shadow and I cook for them everyday.
What was growing up like for you? Magical, I had a storybook childhood with perfect parents in a perfect house with perfect everything. I wish I could do it again. I hope my daughters say the same thing about their childhood when they are my age.
What's your favorite TV program? And your least favorite? Grey’s Anatomy is my favorite. Why would anyone watch a least favorite?
What do you do for a good time...when you're not working? Dance, go the ballet, swim, go to the beach, work in my church, shop for shoes. Actually I shop for shoes when I am working.
What was college like for you? I was in the 3rd class with women; the male to female relationship was 6 to 1. I was the captain of the cheerleading squad, dating the captain of the basketball team. It was perfect!
